在阅读题型中，考纲明确规定要求考生掌握六大能力，这六大能力分别对应阅读题中的六大题型。此篇文章主要讲解几大题型中最易得分的两大题型之一——例证题。
在考纲中，规定考生掌握区分论点论据的关系这一能力，也就是能够掌握论点论据之间的语义关系以及位置关系。那么怎么来解这道题呢?首先在解题之前，因为阅读考察题型较多，每个题型会有相应的解题方法，因此我们在做题之前必须识别题型，确定该题是例证题，后续才用相应的方法去解决该类题型。
那么，一般例证题怎么进行提问呢?我们可以总结成一句中文：该例子被用来证明什么。在这句中文里面，我们需要了解这句中文当中需要掌握的英文表达，例子：example，case，quotation或者直接是该例子的英文名称;用来：use，mention，cite;证明：show，illustrate，demonstrate等。能够识别题型后，就进入到解题步骤。如果要解决例证题，我们需要了解论点和论据的关系，尤其是位置关系能够帮助我们解题。题干当中提及的是例子，因此我们可以根据题干的例子定位到文中对于例子的描述，但是这里需要注意的是题干中并不是针对于例子的内容进行提问，而是提问例子证明的是什么，也就是观点。因此该题我们应该找到该例子证明的观点，根据我们的行文逻辑，观点会在例子前面给出，再给一个例子进行解释说明。在这里注意一下干扰项经常会以例子里面的内容出现。接下来我们将通过一个例题来进行解释说明。
